Theodore Boone: The Scandal is about five middle school teachers cheating on standardized tests. Theo’s closest friend, April, found a letter that said “the five eight grade middle school teachers from East Middle School had changed test scores.” Most of the answers were wrong, so the teachers erased some and put in the correct answers. This caused a lot of suspicion. So now, Theo is in the middle of this mystery. He has to follow his instincts to help solve this mystery with his parents. They even put it in the newspaper. At school, April felt bad that she sent the letter. She never wanted the teachers to get in trouble. She was scared that they would figure out that she sent the letter and get put in jail. A few days later, the police arrested the five teachers and charged them with fraud and conspiracy.

The next day at school, Theo met a kid named Bryon. He wanted Theo to come to Animal Court with him and his dad because their neighbor, Mr. Murray, has been complaining that their otter have been eating his Koi. Later at Animal Court, the neighbor, Mr. Murray, said that the otter was eating his Koi. Next, he showed a video of the otter eating the Koi. Mr. Kerr said that the otter is a wild animal. And he can’t control what it does. A few days after Animal Court, the five teachers met up with Mr. and Mrs. Boone in a conference room. Theo was trying to listen, but a woman named Elsa said that he should go back to his room. Then, he went to go see Judge Grantry. Theo wanted to be in the courtroom when the hearing was going on. Theo wanted the judge to move it to 2:30 pm.

I like this book because it has action and it’s very adventurous. Theodore Boone: The Scandal is good for people who are in to mysteries and law. I give this book 5 stars!
