The Wonderful Wishes of B.

In the novel, //The Wonderful Wishes of B// by Katherine Nolte B is a girl with big wishes and lots of cats. But mostly this girl with the (very!) bad haircut wishes that the losses she’s recently experienced would stop. Her grandmother has passed away, her best friend has moved away, she doesn’t have a baby sister, her mom can’t cut her hair well, and B misses her dad. When her fri-enemy Caleb says he knows a real live witch who grants wishes, B decides to try her luck, but she makes the witch angry.

I’m a reader who loves fairy tales and //The Wizard of Oz// so this was a great read for me. This book made me feel really sad and really glad. It made me sad because B tries to turn her heart into the Tin Man, and glad because her cats are really cool. Reading about B with her cats and how she takes care of them made me happy, even if her mom doesn’t like having all those cats!
