The Wolf Who Didn’t Like to Read
This is a story about a wolf who loves books. But he doesn’t like to read them, he eats them. His friends want to make him read the books instead, so they give him a book and tell him that they won’t play with him until he reads it all the way through. He starts reading but then falls asleep. While sleeping, he has a dream, or many dreams, that put him into the middle of stories like Alice in Wonderland, The Jungle Book, and Peter Pan. The adventures are so exciting that when he wakes up, he is really, really excited about reading books.
The Wolf Who Didn’t Like to Read by Orianne Lallemand and Eleanore Thuillier is a picture book with simple sentences. I liked the pictures and that the book has parts of different stories. I didn’t like the wolf eating books, so I’m happy that by the end of the book he was reading them. The drawings were nice and went well with the sentences.
This book would be good for boys and girls who are about six or seven or who can do beginning reading. Or it would be okay if the mom or dad read the book to them.
