The Wing Wing Brothers: Geometry Palooza!
The Wing Wing Brothers Geometry Palooza was a very interesting book. These five wacky daredevil birds show readers how to perform simple geometry without saying very much. I am not sure how much is really learned from this book, but if an adult read it with a child, the adult could explain a little bit more of what they doing and what it means. The most difficult to understand was probably the “Describing Relative Positions” as it doesn’t really talk about it at all.
If you aren’t looking to learn some math, this book is a super funny read and the Wing Wings perform some very crazy stunts. The shapes section was the easiest to understand and the looks on the bird’s faces are hilarious as they stack shapes on their beaks and that start to wobble. The last section on equal shares ends on a pretty gross visual, and one I won’t repeat, I will let you figure it out on your own!
Overall, this book was cute and does try to be a little educational. I think only covering one topic instead of three would have worked better, but I still would recommend this book!
