The Town of Turtle by Michelle Cuevas is about a turtle being really lonely, so he built a town on his shell so he can be really happy and peaceful. The turtle’s shell was dark inside, and he wanted to fix it. I thought it was funny when the turtle would talk to his shadow, but it never responded. So turtle built a big town with a library, houses, and garden, and other animals started to move to turtle’s town. The turtle worked really hard. He built the town all by himself. I thought the illustrations were very nice. I loved the nice, spring types of colors because they used a lot of green and blue. I thought the illustration of the turtle was really cute.
