The Tigon and the Liger
Tyler is a tigon, which is a mix between a dad tiger and a mom lion. The lions and tigers are all very mean and do not want to play with Tyler, just because he is different. He decides to run away from home. He must be bored, having nobody to play with him! He wonders if tigons are just meant to be sad.
Finally, Tyler reaches the woods and realizes he’s not alone. He meets Lyla the liger, which means her dad is a lion and her mom is a tiger. The big cats around Lyla are mean to her, too, because she is not like any one of them. Lyla and Tyler become friends, and they don’t have to be lonely anymore!
Will Tyler and Lyla’s friendship change how the tigers and lions see them? Is it good to be unique when everyone else around you is the same?
I think it’s important that everyone knows it’s good to be different. The world would be so boring if everyone was exactly alike! This is a really sweet story about being exactly who you are.
