The Thank You Book

A book about saying thank you is The Thank You Book. This isn’t only about manners but also about knowing what gratitude is. It’s not really a story book; it’s pictures that show different things that could make you feel grateful. Like sometimes I say thank you to someone cooking me a waffle because I’m glad somebody did that for me when I’m hungry. A sunset could make you feel grateful because it’s beautiful and it makes you feel happy. The pictures show you a feeling that you already have, “a little happy hum,” and teach you to say thank you!

Instead of people, the characters are cats, dogs, and other animals like skunks and hedgehogs. I like the illustrations of cute animals, and I think most little kids will like this book whether they can read to themselves yet or not. It’s nice to let a parent read to you!
