The Terminals is about a teenager named Cam Cody, who is diagnosed with a terminal disease. His terminal illness dooms him to sit in a hospital bed until he dies in a year. Out of his window, after two days in bed, comes a job of a lifetime as a teenage superhero. Pilot, the man who brings him this opportunity, is the handler of the rest of the superheros. Cam accepts and ends up joining a team of top secret teenagers with the same terminal illness, who are on a steroid called TS-8, which is extending the superheroes’ length of their lives while also giving them great strength. Cam starts getting notes from a person who survived a year of TS-8. These notes say that there were previous years of the TS line of steroids from TS-1 to TS-8. He begins to doubt the organization and wonder if the organization is what it seems to be.

I would give this book five stars because of its speed and excitement. Because of certain content of gore and romance, I would recommend this book for people fourteen or older. Anyone who liked I am Number Four and Ender’s Game would love this book. Anyone who likes sci-fi violence would love this book.
