The Surprise Prize

What if you work for a long time towards getting a surprise only to be disappointed when the surprise arrives? That is what happens to Sara the blue dinosaur. If she collects enough box tops from the cereal she is eating and she sends them in to the company, they will send her a big surprise. She eats a lot of cereal and is finally able to send off the box tops, but when the box finally arrives, it isn’t the surprise that Sara has been waiting for.

This was a very colorful and short story. It is a Level Two reader book so perfect for kids who are just learning to read longer sentences. The words are nice and big and there aren’t any crazy words you won’t understand. The story is cute and at first you are excited with Sara and then shocked when she opens the box. If you are looking for early reading books, you might want to try this one since it is a good book for both boys and girls.
