The Song of the Nightingale is a beautifully written and illustrated tale that’s somehow familiar yet really original in a way. It’s sort of like several origin tales wrapped into one book and it leaves a lot to the imagination. You get to know lots of different kinds of animals and can guess what they are by the pictures before they get color or patterns added to them.
