The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig
Calling all fans of unconventional love stories—or more like love stories that are completely flawed. In a good way. I bet you’re wondering, “In a good way, how?” The Seven Torments of Amy and Craig shows us a realistic look at young love and how complex, messy, and beautiful it can be. Throughout the whole book we have a couple—Craig and Amy—who have an on-again, off-again relationship. You can’t get more realistic than that, especially in YA. I found Craig to be incredibly entertaining and easy to identify with. I’m just going to come out and say that we’ve all been in his shoes. Being broken up with then sadly taking that person back, getting broken up with again, then taking that person back… And so on and so on. It happens all the time. Don Zolidis will take readers on a complicated journey that will feel more like a terrible rollercoaster more than anything. One that was deeply addictive, though. I recommend this book to those who enjoy character-driven novels and stories that completely take you by surprise.
