The Secret Mission of William Tuck is about a boy named William Tuck. His big brother Asher is in the army. He died in the battle. William, the little brother, was looking at his stuff. Before Asher died, he told William that he would give him his blade for his 13th birthday, which was 6 months away. But William wants to a drummer. The next month, he was drumming with kids his age. A few minutes later, William saw a cannon ball, half buried. But it wasn’t a cannon ball. It was a bomb. It left him wounded. 3 days later, he went to a tavern looking for someone. His name was James Armistead. William wants to give him a message. When he came out of the tavern, a man grabbed him. William couldn’t escape. The man was too strong. The man was hugging William too tight. So he couldn’t breathe. The loosened his grip. Later, he met a girl named Rebecca. She took care of William’s woundes. After that, Rebecca made William cut her hair. William hesitated. Then she desgised herself as a boy. They each had a horse. William and Rebecca set off to the ferry. They arrived. They saw where slaves sleep. After that, they had a roaring fire.
