The Secret Box
A girl named Jax, and her cousin, Ethan, find one day that she has been sent a box by their great-aunt Juniper, who they know nothing about. Along with Ethan’s older brother Tyler, they decide to go to Washington, D.C., to open it, although they don’t know exactly where they need to go.They stop at a gas station and meet some old people who really really want the box, but Jax doesn’t want to give it to them. She leaves it in the car, thinking it will be safe, but when they come back out, the box is gone. So they go to the address from which the box was sent; they find the house a total wreck and no one has been there for at least a week. Searching the house, they find a picture which Jax thinks is of her great-aunt and herself next to the Lincoln Memorial. They find themselves stuck, trying to get away with the box and rescue their great-aunt at the same time.
This was a really fun book that was very exciting. I couldn’t stop reading it until it was finished, but then I still wanted to keep reading and know if there was another book, because it was so fun. There were parts where it was like you were actually in the book with the characters; you just couldn’t say anything!
