The Rise and Fall of Oscar the Magician: A Monkey World Adventure

There are two monkey magicians, Oscar and Milton. They both want to be the Magician of the Year. Milton wants to be better than Oscar and so he keeps on cheating but everything Milton does to make Oscar look bad just makes Oscar better.

The first thing that he does to trick Oscar is put bees on Oscar’s hat, instead of golf balls. He bends Oscar’s wand, and he cuts the tightrope Oscar is biking over, but Oscar falls into a water tank. So Milton decides to make it look like Oscar was a thief, so he hypnotizes him to steal a diamond.

I like this book, I can’t really explain why. It is funny that the magicians are monkeys, and I like the pictures – they look like they are old pictures painted a long time ago. It’s fun to see how Milton’s tricks backfire and make Oscar’s magic even better.

My favorite was where Oscar fell in the tank with the crabs. I like the way the book ended, too. This was a really fun story that you will like to read too.
