The Pear Affair

Nell’s parents always forget about her and don’t care or listen to her. One of the only people who listen to Nell is Pear, but they were separated when Nell was seven, and her letters mysteriously stopped six months ago. When Nell goes to Paris, she is determined to find Pear. She refuses to believe when others say that Pear is a thief and runs away when her parents leave for Venice. With the help of her new friends, Nell searches everywhere only to suddenly wonder if Pear should be found when she discovers a horrible plan.

This is a really mysterious, intriguing, and entertaining book. I wondered what would happen next and wanted to keep reading while I was flipping the pages. I wish I knew more about Nell’s friends, though. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes fun mysteries.
