The Only Girl in School

The Only Girl in School is about a girl named Claire Warren. She wasn’t the only girl in school before. She had her best friend Bess. Yet Bess moved away and now Claire has her other best friend Henry. But now, has become best friends with a boy named Webby. Webby’s real name is Webster. He just doesn’t like his name.

When Webby saw Henry with Claire, he thought that Henry had a girlfriend. So he didn’t walk to school with Claire and her little brother Gabe. She waited 10 more minutes before going with Gabe. When Claire got to her class, she found out that she had to sit next to Yucky Gilbert. Yucky Gilbert had a crush on Claire since 4th grade.After all of that, came lunch and gym. At gym, they were playing dodge ball. And they were all aiming at Claire. Even Webby and he was on her team. That wasn’t fair. The gym teacher, Mr. Powell, didn’t seem to mind. Later she went to her clubhouse. Also known as the Girl’s bathroom. She likes to draw on the walls.

Then after school came soccer practice. During practice, Webby tripped Claire then said that he didn’t mean to. Later at dinner, Gabe shot spitballs with Jim, Claire’s older brother. And their target was Claire. They said it was Smuggler Joe. Although, no one knows if Smuggler Joe was real or not. Some people say that he’s real. Others say that he’s not. Read to find out if Smuggler Joe was real or not.

I rate this book 5 stars and I think that this is a great book because of the fact that Claire is the only girl in school. And I also always wondered what it was like to be the only girl in school.
