I really liked this book about Sameer and his neighbor Muna. Sameer was really happy that the neighbors were coming back to their home after being away for a long time because of the war, he was hoping they would have a boy he could play with, but instead they had a girl his age. Her name was Muna but she wasn’t very friendly and she wouldn’t share any of the olives from the olive tree that grew in her yard – even the olives that fell on the ground in Sameer’s yard! She wasn’t very kind and she acted very greedy. One night there was a big storm and the olive tree was struck by lightning. Everyone was very sad. Even though Muna had not been very nice to Sameer, he still helped her to feel better. Sameer was a good example of kindness and Muna was able to learn from him.

I think everyone will like this book. It has a good story about being kind and the pictures are very good.
