The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Read-Along Storybook and CD

This book tells the story of a girl named Clara whose mother died, but she finds the world her mother created. This world, known as the Four Realms, is full of beauty, danger, and surprise. This Disney read-along storybook is not the traditional Nutcracker story, but it has many of the same characters. Because of the similar settings and characters, it still feels familiar, but it has parts of betrayal and lying that the original does not. The illustrations are scenes from the movie and every page has a different picture. As a book to read, it was good, but when I listened to the CD, it made the story much more realistic, and I felt like I was there! The different characters in the book each have their own voices, and there are also sound effects and music. I feel like I have seen the movie even though I haven’t yet. I think this book is good for ages four and up. Even if you cannot read, you can put in the disc and let the disc read it for you. It is easy to know when to turn the page, and they don’t read too fast to keep up.
