The Nerdy Dozen: Close Encounters of The Nerd Kind is a sequel to The Nerdy Dozen, which is about a boy named Neil, who is really good at a game called Chameleon. So, when an Air Force pilot comes to Neil to let him fly a real one, Neil says yes. In this book, Neil is bored of playing Chameleon because he has flown the real one. He gets a game called Shuttle Fury, which is really hard, so he doesn’t play it that much. So, when the Air Force pilot comes to him to fly the real ship, Neil gets scared.

If you like funny and awesome books, this book is for you. I thought it was funny because there is a Russian Cosmonaut chimp that kind of plays around, and there is a boy who is addicted to the game Neil thinks is really hard. This book is action packed because there is the spaceship that Neil is flying, and it is trying to chase the ship that they do not know anything about. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes action books or gaming. I really liked this book, and hope you will, too.
