The Nerdy Dozen #1
Neil, a hardcore gamer, got a high score is his newest game, Chameleon. Supposedly, it is a real military pilot game that was leaked on Internet Piraseas, an invite only gaming website, where only the best kid gamers were allowed. Neil was one of the few. After sneaking out of a sleepover, he’s kidnapped, drugged, and wakes up in a cell with eleven kids and told the Air Force needs them to rescue some men and they’re the only qualified people to fly the planes.
This is a super awesome book that has a very unique story about video games, which I haven’t really found to many books on. The cover shows two girls, and as a girl gamer, only finding one actual girl character in this book was really sad, because girls make up forty-eight percent of all gamers. There’s also a lot of bullying in this book and nobody speaking up about it. Not cool. Overall, I highly recommend this book and hope the author writes more, but please talk to an adult if you’re being bullied or excluded for being a girl.
