The Long Ride Home by Tawni Waters was a very interesting book. Some things I loved about it and some things I disliked. The book is about a girl named Harley. She is dealing with guilt and depression after accidentally killing her mother in a fire. She decides to scatter her mother’s ashes all around the places she loved. She calls her friend Dean and they set off together on a road trip. As they ride through city to city, they start to feel resentment for each other. So Harley sets off on her own, anxious to see what happens. Dean, not knowing were she went, goes looking for her. I really like some characters more than others. I personally preferred Dean to Harley. I also really liked the flashbacks to her life with her mother. I enjoyed most aspects of this book overall! I think I will reread it when I am a little bit older.
