The Living

The Living is a book of survival. It is a tale of adventure, romance and horror. This book will appeal to so many people just because of the way it’s written. Is it a horror book? No, not quite. Is it a romance, or survival book? It is somewhat of one. The closest one word genre would be an adventure book, but it is so much more.

In what seems like the distant future, a strange new disease is killing people. This disease has taken Shy’s grandmother from him. Fast forward a few months and Shy takes a job on a luxury cruise liner, where he meets friends, and has hopes with a girl.

But everything is thrown around after several huge waves take out the ship, killing many people. Will Shy be able to survive, and how many of his friends will?

Shy is a very dynamic, thought out character, which fits into this book like a glove. The book is fast paced, and will have you turning the pages long into the night. I recommend this to lovers of all things survival, romance, and thriller!
