The Last Watch (The Divide Series, 1)
Sitting on the edge of the Divide, a black wall of nothing that is the edge of the universe, is the Argus, a ship where all the outcasts and unwanted are sent to be forgotten. Adequin Rake, the commanding officer of the Argus, has nothing, her command has been forgotten, but her Sentinels are the only thing standing between the Divide and rest of the universe, meaning that they’re humanity’s only hope as the universe starts to collapse.
As excited I was to read this book, I nearly put it down after the first page due to the cussing and a mildly inappropriate and unnecessary scene. There is a lot of heavy cussing throughout the whole book. The two main characters switch point-of-view every chapter or two, and the rest are interesting with their own backgrounds and personalities. The pace is rather slow and the chapters are long. I couldn’t read it in one sitting.
