I did not like The Last Super Chef much. Even though I do like cooking this book was boring. It is a great example of what it is like to be on a cooking show. But mostly it is not entirely focused on cooking. The plot is that the main character Curtis Pith secretly thinks a famous chef is his father and ends up confronting that chef. There is quite a bit about his relationship with this famous chef. What I hated was that it immediately went to the character instead of saying something about him and his family like in most of the books I have read. It is focused on relationships between families; I prefer relationships between friends. The author did not say much about the food. I think after reading The Last Super Chef I would say that if someone wants a fiction slow moving book then this is the perfect book for that person. And I would have liked it to have pictures of what they make in challenges. The Last Super Chef even if it is slow at the beginning and at the very end of it. I recommend it for ten years and up.
