My favorite part of this book was the characters. They were really well written, and I loved the relationship between Eleven and Sarya as well as Sarya’s little helper, Ace, who was probably my favorite character of the book. He’s cute and funny, if not sometimes naive, and his comments throughout the book and the scenes he was in were some of my favorites. Sarya is also a very well written character; she’s not perfect and doesn’t always make the best decisions, which makes her easier to relate to. She reminded me of Katniss from the Hunger Games since she is a strong, independent girl who may have some problems. The plot was very interesting to watch unfold. My only complaint was that it is a bit slow at times and a little hard to get through. I feel like some things could have been changed to make it a little faster paced, but that might just be my reading preference. This is a good book for a rainy day, when you have a lot of time to just sit down and read.
