After an earthquake in the kingdom of Bracken, everything is destroyed. Drake is a Dragon Master that came to the king’s castle to train dragons. He is supposed to go on a mission to the fairy world to find the Spring Dragon. She has the ability to help the devastated nature in Bracken to regrow. Because she is a Spring Dragon, she can make spring return to any land.

On his journey, Drake meets Breen, who is the Spring Dragon’s Dragon Master. Breen gives Drake useful information as she accompanies him through the fairy world. Drake must choose the right paths, avoid dangers, and outsmart redcaps in order to prove himself worthy of the Spring Dragon’s help.

Will Drake be successful on his quest to find the Spring Dragon? If so, will she help return the plants and wildlife back to Bracken?

I liked this book because it was adventurous and exciting. The story was interesting and easy to read. While it is not a graphic novel, there are black and white pictures on every page of the book. That makes it easier for younger readers to get through an entire book.
