The Junkyard Bot: Robots Rule, Book 1
This book takes place in Terabyte Heights in the future. At the beginning of the book, robots are helping people and later, not so much. They do jobs like watering the garden, dusting, and cooking. Jackbot’s a robot. (He has a very tall head.) His owner is George, a kid with a grumpy uncle person. (Grumpy uncle says things like “You need to sell that heap of junk away. Blah, blah, blah.”) The grumpy uncle works at a junkyard. George makes a friend, Anne. There is one bad guy. He makes the robots malfunction. The robots are kind of trying to destroy George and Jackbot. Every robot in town is malfunctioning. The kids are able to fix the robots. Then the robots help people again. I didn’t like Chip, the bad guy, one bit. I liked Jackbot. (Some robots have battery packs, some are electrical. I love robots!) I wasn’t scared at all of the story. The pictures are really life-like. I loved the story. I think bigger kids will like this book. I can read this book myself. I will read Book 2.
