The Jasmine Sneeze by Nadine Kaadan is a good book. I like that the story is inspired by her great-grandmother. The pictures are cute and colorful. I like the cat, Haroun. He is funny and sneaky. I like that he hides his favorite things in the jasmine plants around the town. He doesn’t like the smell of the jasmine because it makes him sneeze every time he goes to sleep, so he tries to get rid of the smell that is all over the city. The jasmine spirit is kind of an interesting twist. She causes Haroun to grow jasmine out of his nose, which is kind of gross. At the end, Haroun learns that the jasmine isn’t as bad as it seems–until he sneezes again!
