The Insatiables
The Insatiables gives us a good look at the corporate world—and the lengths one will go to in order to climb their way to the top. Halley wants more out of life but doesn’t know how to get what she wants. An opportunity arises when she and a few others are up for a new job with better benefits and a relocation across the pond. This is what Halley has been searching for, but it all comes crashing down when she realizes that one of the “few others” is none other than her best friend, Celeste. Therein lies the ruthless murder among friends—best friends since childhood at that. Now Halley must navigate a way to fulfill her dreams, without losing her friend, respect, and dignity in the process. I think this book shows us how very dirty being in the corporate world can be. While it sets amazing opportunities for families everywhere, there’s also a line that must be drawn when fighting for something you think belongs to you. The main heroine was one who was very relatable in regard to wanting more out of life. I enjoyed the book very much, and I think readers will enjoy this as well.
