The Ice Cream Kid: Brain Freeze!
Irwin is just a dude. He likes boogers. He likes to chase people with them. He also likes to go to booger contests. Irwin eats the last fudgesicle and gets a brain freeze. He does a tree back flip, and a squirrel talks to him. Then he falls face-first in the dirt. His grandpa tells Irwin that he is a superhero too. Gum gives him super powers. He keeps it in his socks. (The gum in the shoe would get melty and squishy. “Erg! Argh! I’m trying to get my shoe off, but my sneaker is stuck.”) Grandpa is Mighty Super Gus. His sidekick is Captain Corgi. (You think the dog’s superpower is super stinky farts?) His grandma makes “cookies of doom.” (I think she could be a bad guy.) Irwin’s superhero outfit says “ICK.” Grandpa takes Irwin to train. Irwin falls into a turtle’s butt. He gets a pigeon named Bert for his sidekick. The villain they fight is Sweaty. She does bad cooking (like Grandma). Who will win the battle? Read the book to find out. More than infinity stars! Everyone who likes superheroes who are funny will like this book. I guess I could read this book myself.
