The Great Space Race is about when astronauts went to space and to the moon. There were two countries racing to the moon. American was one of them. The USSR was the other one. They were racing to the moon because they wanted to prove they were the best. The astronauts are famous, too. Both countries built rockets. They raced a lot. But only one landed on the moon.

I really think this book is good for kids to learn about rockets and space. I loved this book. This book can help kids learn about science. I love the rockets. I like to see what they look like. It is super interesting that people could go to the moon. Maybe some people could go to Mars. I am really glad that some of the rockets could work so they would not break apart. It is sad if they break apart. It is cool that the rockets can fly. I love everything about rockets. The end of the book has a lot of facts and a cool picture of a rocket. It is bigger than the Statue of Liberty! I didn’t know that was possible!
