The Great Big Dinosaur Treasury has tons of awesome dinosaur stories! There are eight stories in all and they all have dinosaurs in them. They are by different authors and illustrators.

The story I like best is “Riding Dinos With Buck Bronco,” written and illustrated by George McClements. In the story, Buck Bronco, a cowboy, tells you about when he first saw dinosaurs. He brought home some normal-looking eggs. When they began to hatch, he had to do some quick-time learning about dinosaurs, and now he’s called a leading authority on dinosaurs. He tells you to pick a dinosaur from the Triassic, Jurassic or Cretaceous barn. He says you’ll find one to match your personality. I would pick a t-rex because I like meat eaters the best. Buck Bronco tells you how to put a saddle on the dino, and then shows you the instructions for riding. There is walk, trot and jump! Then, he tells you how to take care of your dino. At the end, he sends you millions of dino eggs! I liked this story because it seemed like it was happening for real.

There is a poem in the book, “Good Night Dinosaurs” by Judy Sierra. It is illustrated by Victoria Chess. It is a poem that makes the dinosaurs in the book go to sleep. I think it would be good to read to a child when they are going to sleep at night.

There is a Curious George dinosaur story, too. My sister loves Curious George. Curious George gets in trouble again and causes a rockslide, but he discovers a dinosaur skeleton. The next time he goes to the museum, he sees his dinosaur on display and it says, “New Georgosaurus.” That story was silly, and I like it.

This would be a good book for anyone who loves dinosaurs.
