The Gobblings

This is a story about a boy named Herbie. Herbie had to move away from all his friends and live in a space station. All the grownups are always busy working, and Herbie is very lonely. He tries to entertain himself by making friends with piles of gears, and wandering around the ship, deep in the walls of the space station. He begins to notice things the adults never paid attention to before. Herbie is very imaginative, quick-thinking, and super smart. He finds out about the gobblings before any of the adults even notice. He is the only one who can save the ship from the metal-eating gobblings. I loved this book because the illustrations were so detailed and drew me right into the story. I made my mom read it to me a second time right away, and there are so many things I missed during the first reading. I like stories that are adventurous and imaginative, and this book is both of those. It is unlike any other book I have ever read. I will tell all my friends about this book. I loved it.
