The Ghost Wind Stallion: A Kaya Mystery (American Girl Beforever Mysteries)
The Ghost Wind Stallion: A Kaya Mystery (American Girl Beforever Mysteries)
Kaya is a girl in the 1760s living in a tribe called Nez Perce Indians. She and her tribe are preparing for her aunt’s arrival who left the tribe to get married. When Kaya and her sister, Speaking Rain went into the forest, Kaya saw a silver flash that looked like a horse. Speaking Rain wants to find the horse to ride by herself, but she is blind and can’t ride alone. When her aunt comes with her horse, her house goes missing. Kaya’s aunt is sure that Kaya attracted the spirits (called the Stick People) that took her horse. Kaya and Speaking Rain discovered that the silver flash was a stallion. The tribe believes the stallion drew her aunt’s horse away. Kaya and Speaking Rain decide to try to find their aunt’s missing horse.
I really enjoyed this book a lot because it is exciting and there is mystery in it. If kids want a fun mystery book about people from long ago, then I totally recommend this book! I think this book is good for kids about 9 and up because it might scare younger kids with the talk of ghosts.
