The Funny Book

If you’ve read other Bobo and Pup-Pup books, you’ll know that they are all funny and fun to read. Their newest story is actually The Funny Book and is about learning to share, even when neither person is happy to do that. The story begins when Pup-Pup is reading a really funny book, so then Bobo wants to read it too; Pup-Pup tells him that he’ll have to wait until he finishes, but Bobo doesn’t like that answer. Bobo comes up with funny ways to find Pup-Pup while he’s reading to try to sneak a look at the pages; eventually, the two friends must decide whether they can share or what will work for them in this situation.

The Funny Book had me laughing so much! Bobo does some funny things to find Pup-Pup! I like that the two friends act like regular friends – that they have arguments, but then they find ways of fixing the problem(s) so that they will be happy again. The story is just the right length, and the reading level is a little easy for me, but with fewer words on each page, the story goes quickly.
