The Fire Keeper (A Storm Runner Novel, Book 2)
Zane Obispo is a godborn, which means one of his parents was a god. His dad, Hurakan, is the fire god, who is currently imprisoned because the gods are not supposed to have children.
Zane, his family, and friends all live together on a tropical island that is protected by shadow magic. Ixtab, the goddess of people who were sacrificed, hides Zane from the other gods and their retribution. When Zane learns that his father is about to be executed, he is forced to choose between saving his father or saving the other godborns, like himself. In his quest to save others, will Zane learn more about himself and how to control his own powers?
Zane will encounter mortal enemies, unexpected allies, and of course, imminent peril. This book is well worth the read because it is an engaging, immersive experience, humorous, and full of non-stop action! It is also a good blend of Mayan mythology in a modern setting. Anybody who is already a fan of the Percy Jackson series would thoroughly enjoy this book.
