The Crossbow of Destiny

Freddie Lo is going home to Vietnam to see her grandfather, who is winning an award. However, the more she thinks about it, the less connected she feels to her heritage and her family. She was so young when they moved away. Freddie wants to learn all about her culture and family time she has missed out on. It seems that her grandpa has a secret and he needs her help to accomplish his task.

My favorite part of this book is when the Turtle-God talks to Freddie about what the master of the crossbow is able to do. I just think a Turtle-God would be interesting. I would think this book would make for a great graphic novel. I liked this interesting tale.
