The Coolest Stuff on Earth by National Geographic Kids is a pretty interesting book about fascinating things around the world. It is full of beautiful illustrations and photos of all kinds of things as well as some outrageous facts. Did you realize that people in the United States spend seventy-two billion dollars on their pets each year? It’s a lot of money! Did you know that rock climber Alex Honnold took only four hours to climb a three thousand foot rock face without using any rope or safety gear? Now that is wild! This book has all sorts of facts about places, buildings, history, prehistoric creatures, animals, sports, food, and lots more! I think eight-year-olds would love this book, as long as they enjoy learning. This was definitely a cool book to read!
