The Case of the Stolen Space Suit
At one of the museums in town, there is a space suit show going on. But Sally Ride’s spacesuit has gone missing upon arrival! So Amal and her friends Clementine, Wilson, and Raining disobey the orders of investigators to try to find out what happened to it. They are soon in far more trouble than they ever could have suspected, but they figure out a way to get out of it all while chasing down suspects, following clues, and eventually solving the mystery. This is an easy, quick book to read and it’s a lot of fun. It is probably meant for children who are eight to ten years old, and both boys and girls will like it. There is just the right mix of excitement and tension; it isn’t scary, but just the right amount of suspense. Amal and her friends have a good relationship. They each have different strengths. Clementine always wants to know what’s going on and is very persuasive. Amal is very sensible, Wilson cheers everyone up, and Raining is always supportive. It is fun to read about how they work together and you would want to be friends with them!
