Description
After his ten-year prison sentence on Green Island, Tshua Khun-lim is freed and able to return home. In Book Two, the story details how Khun-lim goes about living his life, from his family life to starting up his business to present day activism. Normal life after imprisonment proves to be difficult as Khun-lim struggles with his entrepreneurial and career aspirations. No matter what Khun-lim does, the police seem out to get him. Will Khun-lim be able to live a life free from the police and their constant surveillance?
The Boy From Clearwater Book 2 is a memoir about Mr. Tshua’s incredible life, a life full of horrifying injustices and cruelty inflicted upon him by a brutal government. Normal citizens are always the ones who suffer at the hands of a cruel government. I’m very glad I read this book because I am unfamiliar with Taiwan’s history. Mr. Tshua’s personal story has shed some light on the White Terror and the Kuomintang’s brutality. He is an unsung hero who has devoted himself to being a human rights advocate. I highly recommend this wonderful memoir to any history buff, non-fiction lovers, or graphic novel enthusiasts.
