The subtitle of this book is “A How-To for Mystery Solving, Make-It-Yourself Projects, and More,” which describes the book pretty well. This book tells you how to make different projects and do different things that are related to the things The Boxcar Children do in their books. Some of the projects include making forts, making food, and solving mysteries. It also teaches you how to make and use secret codes and play different games. And it also teaches you to make tombstone rubbings and tell a good ghost story.

I really, really liked this book even though I haven’t read any of The Boxcar Children books yet. Now I want to find those books and start reading their adventures. I liked the pictures and activities and recipes in this book. I’ve already tried a lot of them and will keep on trying new ones and re-trying the ones I’ve already done because they are a lot of fun. This book would be good for boys and girls ages 5 to 18.
