The Book of Rules: A Picture Book

If I were one to judge a book by its cover, I would say that this would be a really funny book. However, after reading it, it seems that it more about teaching kids to sit down and be calm when reading a book or else they will get eaten by some monster named Dennis. What kind of name is Dennis?

I wanted to like this book and I hoped it would be very funny, but it is not a favorite. The illustrations are cute and colorful and help to demonstrate the rules. I think this would be good for very young kids who need to learn how to read a book.
