The Berenstain Bears’ Lemonade Stand (I Can Read Book 1)
The main characters in this book are Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear. Honey Bear is the littlest bear in the family. I saw Brother and Sister Bear at the book festival. They didn’t talk but they were very big. I had a picture with them. I liked them. I met them so I wanted to talk to them. They hugged me and I want to read lots more books about the Berenstain Bears. In this book, the bears have a lemonade stand. They were selling lemonade for twenty-five cents. I think the season for this story is summer, because everyone is very hot. When the bears have fireworks during a party, I thought the grown-ups would have fireworks on the Fourth of July. This book is about friends. My favorite part of the story is when the parents bring out food to eat, just like my mom brings out my dinner. I felt excited when I read: “Farmer Ben sees the party. He has a load of things from his farm. He starts to sell fruit and other good things.” It is a happy book and easy to read. I think preschool and kindergarten kids will like the Berenstain Bears.
