All the bears in Bear Country are having an Easter parade with their fancy Easter clothing. But Brother Bear does NOT want to wear new clothes. He thinks his everyday clothes are just fine. Mama Bear makes him go shopping anyway. Brother Bear is MAD! He doesn’t want to go shopping or wear the clothes that Mama buys. Sister likes her new clothes. On Easter Day, the family marches in the parade. Brother blushes when he hears whispers about how cute he is! Guess who wins? The Bear family! Then Brother thinks new Easter clothes are great.

I liked this book a little. I did not like it as well as other Berenstain Bears books. It was just about dressing up about Easter Sunday. I didn’t think the story was as interesting as other books. The author was the son of Stan and Jan Berenstain rather than the original authors, which I think made a difference. I really didn’t think the Bear family was the best dressed either. Cousin Freddy’s family looked better. The pictures were good though.
