The Berenstain Bears and the Ghost of the Theater
I have read a lot of Berenstain Bears books, so I was excited to get The Berenstain Bears and the Ghost of the Theater! In this book, Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear go with Mama and Papa to an old theater in town because they need summer jobs, and the theater is hiring. The three cubs get jobs cleaning. When they are in the back with the props, they see things like a big witch’s cauldron, statues, and a stuffed bird. When Brother starts playing with the witch’s cauldron, the cubs hear a spooky voice repeat what he said. They run to the manager, and he tells them that they just heard the Ghost of the Theater. He takes them backstage, and they get to meet the ghost and realize there’s no reason to be scared.
This story is just as good as the older ones! Some of the words in the story I don’t know yet, but I’m sure by the end of the year, I’ll be able to read it myself. There are fewer words on each page than the older books, and the pictures are colorful. Kids who like reading the Berenstain Bears will for sure like this one too.
