The Barefoot Book of Children
This is a book about children around the world and across the globe. I like reading stories about children. I even like making up stories about children; for instance, I have an imaginary twin named Lovelie, which means “beautiful,” and that is what she is. The book is also beautiful—and special, too! This is a good book to read. You will read the book to find out how children live around the world. This book asks you questions about children. For example, “What is the meaning of your name?” To me, “Susan” means “lily,” and “Faith” means “trust,” so my name means “lily of trust.” The illustrations are bright and colorful, but at the beginning it is dark and moody. A quote from this book is, “You are a part of the world. You are also a world all your own. This is where you belong.” This is a very special quote, as is the book. Everything is special in this book. I think this is great for you to read. Readers who are children themselves and love other children will enjoy this book.
