This was a great book for Babe Ruth fans! The story is about a boy, named George, and how much he loves baseball. Babe Ruth is his biggest hero and George would love to see him play, but his family is poor and can’t afford the tickets. George plays baseball with his neighborhood friends, but he isn’t good. Sometimes the other kids tease him. It doesn’t bother him too much because he loves baseball so much. His birthday comes and his family gets him Yankee tickets and a Red Sox jersey. He is so excited and angry at the same time! Even though he has to go to the game in other team’s jersey, he still has blast!

This is a great story with fun illustrations! I think that even kids that aren’t Babe Ruth or baseball fans will enjoy this book. That is because it talks about not giving up and that is important for everyone. My favorite part was when George got soap in his mouth! It was so funny and I loved the picture that went with it!
