The Babysitter Chronicles: Bri’s Big Crush

Bri is a middle school-aged girl who has a crush on a boy named David Massey. David’s mom asks Bri to babysit for his younger brother and sister. While she is at the Massey’s house babysitting, Bri takes the opportunity to snoop around in David’s room. There she finds a list of all of David’s very favorite things. Bri thinks David will like her if she pretends to enjoy the same things he likes.

The list said David likes to watch the TV show Master Chef Junior, so Bri tries to cook a recipe from the show. It is a complete disaster! Even though she does not usually run, Bri starts running laps because the list said David likes marathons. She even watches a horror movie because she thinks he will like that, too!

Bri learns a lot of good lessons in this book, like she should be herself. She is amazing just the way she is, and that is why parents like for her to babysit their kids! I liked this book because the stories about how Bri is trying to impress David are funny! There are also a lot of good babysitting tips in the book.
