The Arctic Code (Dark Gravity Sequence)
The world has entered a new Ice Age, but Eleanor’s mother has gone missing. Eleanor stows away on a plane to Alaska to try to find her. In Alaska, she meets Dr. Skinner, who she’s met once before, and other scientists who are already searching for her mother. She also meets Julian and Finn, whose parents have also gone missing. The three new friends discover that there is an energy field somewhere in Canada, but Eleanor, Julian, and Finn suspect that Dr. Skinner is not as nice as he seems. Now they have to find out what Dr. Skinner might be up to and find their parents as well.
I like Eleanor because she is so nice, even though she can be very stubborn. She is a very good friend to Julian and Finn, who are very good friends to her as well. The book is very interesting, because it is a fun way to put magic into science. It was a very exciting story where a lot of things happened and it was very suspenseful; it kept you on the edge of your seat, wondering what was going to happen next. I would love to read more in this series!
