Lily Huckleberry is a girl who goes to Scandinavia, and she saves the Midsummer party. In the book, Scandinavia isn’t just Denmark, Norway, and Sweden – Scandinavia is a really magical place. Vikings steal all the strawberries from all over Scandinavia, so there aren’t any strawberries for the Midsummer strawberry cake. Lily saves the day by doing two things: she gets the strawberries back from the vikings, and the vikings get invited to the party. The vikings have to give back the strawberries so they can go to the party and make new friends. Lily tells the vikings that stealing won’t make friends. She says to be a friend to make a friend!

The illustrations are good. There are lots of bright colors and flowers in every picture. One of the pictures is a maze, but it’s impossible. The story is silly, but I like it. Lily is brave even when she is nervous or scared. My favorite character is Mr. Nisse, a gnome who talks in rhymes. Lily meets him in an empty strawberry patch, and he sends her to Copenhagen after the vikings. This book is fun to read, and I really liked it.
